We need rest. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and bruised.
In the words of the Galaxy's premier Starship Captain, Zap Brannigan - the best way for a man to go...
Anyway - away from Futurama (the funniest reference I could find to Amazons) and back to Lustria and my Round 8 entry -

When Karl met Kremlo...
Morning all, and I'm glad to say my Lustria project is ticking along nicely thanks to the LPL - apologies to anyone actually still waiting for the final installment of Orc's Drift - realistically its going to be at least another couple of weeks befor I start it as I have a rather ambitious Round 10 planned....
Anyways, back to the steaming equatorial armpit of the Warhammer World, and a couple of veritable celebrities. Some of the older lags among you may remember my Magnificent Sven entry in last year's LPL -

We happy not so few anymore....
Woohoo - roll out the bunting, tickertape and strike up the band - Welcome to my 100th follower Grimsi Grogs - great name by the way!
Although I didn't necessarily embark on this endeavour as a popularity contest, I'm glad there are those my ramblings have struck a chord with.
Thanks one and all, and to mark the occasion I've gathered a few old friends together...
100 of them to be precise!

May have to retake the pic at some point - bit rushed last night as my folks were over...
Edit -
So reshot the pic - hopefully its a little clearer.
Also added a couple of tags ;)

Fish Out of Water
Hello all - another week and another LPL entry. This time I've gone for a little change to the usual 80's vintage citadel, in the form of Four A Miniature's excellent Sea Demons, sculpted by Paul Muller.
These are great minis and a superb addition to the range Andy stocks at Four A - I have the brilliant Piranha boy and another demon who didn't quite make it into my entry because of time. Some time I must also get round to finally painting up the other five Kev Adams goblins I bought ages ago!
Not sure how I'm going to use these little gribblies in game terms yet - just really liked the look of them. Probably means I'm going to have to expand the little scenic set I made for my competition pic into a table top set-up...

An Army of Frogs...
... Which is what a group of frogs is acually called, if you believe the interwebz. And for all of you now turning your thoughts to what a group of toads is referred to - I can reveal it is a knot of toads.
Well now today's lesson is concluded here's the pics - nothing new I'm afraid, just some more detail shots of all the Slann I've got painted up so far.

Ugluk's Last Stand...
Hello again folks and another LPL entry for your delectation.
Last week was the second themed round and the theme was the worlds of Tolkien. This gave me a nice excuse to dip my toe into a scale I have been tempted by for a while now, and purchase some of Copplestone's lovely 10mm fantasy figures.
I went for the encounter between Eomer's Rohirrim and the Uruks, led by Ugluk, who had captured Merry and Pippin. Caught and surrounded at the edge of Fangorn Forest, Ugluk and his Uruk-hai are cut down by the fierce Riders of Rohan.

Slaving away...
Another LPL entry and another addition to the Slann forces for Return of the Magnificent Sven.
This time we have a sinister albino Slann slavemaster and four of his unfortunate lobotomised charges, along with a couple more Slann braves armed with blowpipes.
As the warband is meant to represent the remnants of Gurg'll Greenwake's gang of renegades and survivors of various tribes, I've continued with the varied skin tones and patterns - plus they're more fun to paint that way!
